Today is International Translator’s Day although the holiday was approved only in 1991, it is already acquired a widespread popularity.

 

It is no wonder because the translators` work unites people, realize constant communication, and overcome interlinguistic barriers. The translator’s work is requiring the expenditure of much labour, because is necessary to “renovate” own knowledge every day, be up to languages` progress. Not in vain Pushkin O. S. said that translators are post horses of education. And in spite of various programs of machine translation nowadays, they only able to help people, but can’t replace them, because during any translation is needed not only the translation of words but accordance of thoughts.
